ServSafe Manager Certification is a food safety training and certification program developed by the National Restaurant Association (NRA) in the United States. It is designed for foodservice managers and other personnel who are responsible for overseeing food safety in restaurants, catering operations, and other food establishments.  Chef David & Lexie are both certified.  There is also a California Homemade Food Act (AB 1616). This act allows for the production of certain low-risk food products in residential kitchens, commonly known as cottage food operations.
